I love meeting people and networking...and, salsa is the perfect opportunity to date many men without leaving the dance floor! Each dance is a date, and it's either great, good, or forgettable (haven't had one of those). My experience thus far has been a positive one, meeting people from many different backgrounds and with various dance abilities.

I love to laugh and have fun. I'm extremely energetic, although I do value my down-time. I love to dance, primarily salsa.

Dance background, philosphy, passions and ideals
|
|
I had lessons in ballet, tap, and jazz while growing up...and, I was always the one on the dance floor at parties. For the past four years, I have been studying Flamenco dance. I have had additional short-term classes in Irish, Classic Odissi Indian, and Belly dances. However, I did not begin serious training until I joined Isabelle's group class in Jan. of 2005. I officially joined her salsa dance group in June of 2006 and have not stopped! After dancing salsa casually for two years, I absolutely love performing salsa routines in front of a live audience. And, although I appreciate and dance the L.A. Style of salsa, I much prefer the full-bodied, Afro-Cuban, earthy-tribal style of salsa dancing. I really become in tune with the music when dancing in that style. I must visit Cuba.

Favorite Dance Spots, Destinations & Local Scene

Casa Escobar in Marina del Rey, CA is my home spot on Sunday nights. On occasion, I also dance at Monsoon's, Mama Juana's, and Steven's Steakhouse. I have just started going to Silhouettes in Burbank hosted by Mike & Christina, and I love it! Nice dance floor, good music, great ambience...
