Hi folks,

We finally posted photos and video clips from our recent trip to Cuba.  Check them out at www.rumbanana.org

Mike and I visited Havana, and participated in the Folk Cuba workshops conducted by the Conjunto Folklorico Nacional de Cuba.  Those were awesome, and the professors were simply amazing.  We also had a chance to meet up with Casineros from El Proyecto.  You might know them from the show Bailar Casino.

We had tons of fun, and one of the highlights of the event was an anniversary party for the founders of Rueda de Casino.  Most of them were in their 60s and 70s, but they still knew how to rip it up on the dance floor.  We have a clip of them doing Rueda.

It was also a chance for us to ask them about the origins of the dance, and the origins of some of the calls.  We actually got an explanation for why "Dile Que No" is "Dile Que No."  It's an interesting story, and we'll be happy to share when we see most of you in Vancouver this April.

Well...feel free to send me a message if you have any questions about our trip.  If you haven't already - go visit Cuba.  It's an amazing and life-altering experience.
