Hi, my name is Shalene.. and I'm a salsaholic. I've tried to find a 12-step program, but apparently no one else seems to think this is a serious enough problem to warrant help.

Dance background, philosphy, passions and ideals

So this story began with a couple of Emory medical students who wanted to learn to dance salsa. (Yes med students have lives). We all got together and decided to look around for a place that we could afford (problem) and that fit our schedule (bigger problem). Anyway, one of my friends found Julian from SalsaCasino, the most awesome person ever. He was sweet enough to come to us and work around our exams, and didn't ask us to rob the bank to pay him. Once we started, I was hooked. I'd never had such a blast in my life. We even put on a little performance one semester - hilarious. Anyway, that was in 2003... I'm still in love with salsa.
