If you've been dancing salsa a while you start to get to know which people are the locals and can easily pick out the visitors from out of town.  It is interesting talking to many of them to see what the local salsa scene is like in differnet people's home town.

Salsa is starting to spread everywhere now days and growing and spreading to counties that you may have never heard about.

I also find it interesting that if you travel to other countries where you don't know anyone or even speak the language, you can often find a club that plays salsa somewhere in the city.  In doing so it is much easier to make new friends and interact with people that you may not have anything else in common with.  Dancing has got to be one of the best ways to interact with people as you travel around the world.

SalsaSpaces hopes to provide a means to help salsa dancers find each other easier and have an even more enjoyable time as you travel from place to place checking out local salsa scenes.

Look for my next Blogs on Salsa in Japan and Salsa in Costa Rica. Both places reveal some interesting things....
