5 things I value most:
Life and Health, Liberty, Family, Culture, Education and Learning

I never get bored because there is always something to do. So much to do, so little time! I enjoy the outdoors and being active such as rockclimbing or snowboarding. I love learning and i am up for trying and experiencing anything new. I like to do many things but there is nothing I enjoy more than dancing, especially salsa (especially colombian salsa). I dance Colombian folkloric music for The Colombian Folkloric Ballet and salsa for SALSAtlanta (www.salsacasino.com).

Other interest: construction, psychology, sociology, history, computers, travel, military

colombian style salsa is of course the best in the world. I also love casino. Julian, Kevin, and Malita taught me how to dance cuban salsa and i am thankful for them. Sorry but i think LA and on 2 sux because its dramatic and looks like some kind of ballroom showoff. pluss the men dont do anything but spin the girl 9999 times and stop dancing at times. There are some good LA and on2 dancers out there that i give props to, but I have tried LA and its just not for me. I enjoy the more traditional way of dancing salsa than the modern way americans dance salsa. I might look for better educating myself in these two styles of dancing so i can maybe apreciate them more and pick up something for my casino because sometimes they do some cool footwork.

Hi Columbiano. Thanks for adding me as a friend. Now there are just a couple of things we need to discuss here. Being an OLD TIME New York on 2 dancer, I take exception to your comment about NY style being too showy. That is how I feel about LA style!! lol However, I DO TOTALLY understand what you mean about the younger kids doing ten million spins and more showy things. In defense of those "showy" styles though, I will say they are FANTASTIC for performances. All those people put a LOT of hard work into perfecting their craft and it's definately great on stage!!!
However, if you ever come to NY I will be HAPPY to school you in the old-timers scene and the on2 dancers who were dancing on 2 before anyone knew the term on 2!!!! As a matter of fact, if you ever do come out and make it to one of my Mad About Mambo socials, I am proud to have a completely age mixed crowd and I get many of the Palladium dancers who are simply awe-inspiring and some of them barely do ANY spins!!! It's ALL about playing with your partner and the music.
Now the OTHER thing we needed to discuss is thanks for giving an old broad a thrill... NICE BODY!!!! LOL
love & mambo,
Abbey, The Mambo Mama
