Other casineros....I know you are out there....and rumberos, salseros, swing dancers, arg. tango dancers.......and on and on.

Anything I can dance to....well, except for trance music.

Why not?

Rueda in the Park is a non-profit group that started in July 2004 designed to promote casino and specically rueda de casino in Southern California and beyond and have a fun time doing it.

As of January 2007, we have 2 NEW Chapters, RITP- Santa Clarita & RITP-Bellflower. And possibly growing further. You can find more information on us at www.ruedainthepark.com Or www.myspace.com/ruedainthepark.

we are on a mission. To bring more rueda de casino to Los Angeles. When I(Tania) moved back here from San Francisco, there really wasn't alot of casino around, except for maybe Zabumba w/Yossi and supposedly the Granada, but haven't seen the casineros from there. Anyways, I believe 1) that most people who are open minded, can't help but fall in love with casino and more specifically rueda de casino and 2) its a great way to meet new people since it is so much fun.

Il Pirata in San Francisco and a harbor club there as well which I can't remember the name of. THere are so many places to go that I have not danced enough in Los Angeles to have an absolute favorite club, but I do LOVE ZABUMBA (on Sundays) and SILHOETTE'S CAFE in Burbank(on Thursdays). The best DJ's in Southern California and probably all of California ( if not beyond) so far in my humble opinion are DJ SAOCO(at Zabumba) and DJ POD TIMBA(at Silhoette's). nyways, I like Mama Juana's old school charm and I've finally gone to the Granada, which was pretty good too. But MY FAVORITE place to dance in L.A. is of course Griffith Park...for Rueda in the Park(yes, I'm biased and don't care).

Well, I think we figured out I like to dance...but wait, there is more! I love to travel. I've danced casino in Spain, Italy, Miami, New York, and California of course. Can't forget the traveling. And sailing, when I can get to it.

I really want to go to see Rumbanana in Oct., but I will have to wait and see the gang in Miami and make up for lost time. What day are yall flying into MIA? I will be there Thursday night.

Hey Tania! It was so great to meet you at Palm Springs. You're doing something very special down there in L.A. It's so rare on the West Coast for teachers to teach Casino, and the attitude you and all of the people in Rueda in the Park have is going to sweep through Southern Cal. Keep in touch. We hope to see you in Vancouver in April.

RUEDA IN THE PARK ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Say hi to everyone for me. Sorry we had to leave so abruptly and didn't get a chance to say goodbye.
